Event of the Year in Singapore: National Day Parade 2015 (SG50)
Every year on the 9th of August, Singapore celebrates her birthday to commemorate the young nation’s progress thus far. Since 50 years again when Singapore gain independence from Malaysia in 1965, the astounding progress that we have made … none has came close to us in history! This is something all Singaporeans are proud of, and something we all know cannot be taken for granted.
Nevertheless, 9th August marks a day to be celebrated in style 🙂
And because this day is a day for celebration, there is lots of interesting things happening on this tiny island on this happening day! So if you happen to be in Singapore, or in fact you could even plan to be in Singapore during this time to catch many wonderful items and performance. The day might not be an airshow, but one gets to see spectacular flying performances by the RSAF pilots as well as a show of their steadfast loyalty to defending our nation.Plus military vehicles roll-by, military forces march by, followed by a number of civilian groups as well from all walks of life … And most remarkable of all … my personal favourite … the fireworks finale 🙂 🙂 🙂 Speaking of the Fireworks … sometimes the best happenings only live in the memory. The best sequence of Firework was actually not recorded by my camera due to whatever reason (later I found out that it was due to a full memory card lol! ) . While the clip for the best fireworks is lost, I have combined the clips of the fireworks prior to the grand finale …. looks great too 😛
